7. Reflective articles on the use of Ubuntu – The African Journal of Social work is calling for special journal articles focused on Ubuntu. If you have used any theory of Ubuntu in your research, teaching or practice, you have an opportunity to submit a special article for publication in the next issue. Your article should be a description of how you used Ubuntu and a reflection of the process. You can find a list of Ubuntu theories here: https://africasocialwork.net/motsi/african-theories-of-social-work/#ubuntu-theories. Ideally the article should have four parts as follows:

  1. Description of the work/research/teaching that you did
  2. Description of how Ubuntu was used
  3. Reflections (deep thoughts) on the use of Ubuntu (e.g. what worked well, what did not, why)
  4. Implications for practice/research/teaching

The application process is easy, simply email the methodology that you will follow for the literature review to asw@africasocialwork.net. It should be no more than 200 words or no more than 10 points. If you are selected, your article of between 2000 to 5000 words will be published in the next issue of the journal. Ideas about doing a literature review are available here https://africasocialwork.net/motsi/aswnet-guide-to-writing-journals/#reviews and also here https://africasocialwork.net/motsi/research/#aioseo-methods-for-literature-review.
