West Papua

This country, which is also known as Western New Guinea or Indonesian Papua, has been under Indonesia colonial occupation since 1962 after an Indonesian sponsored ‘referendum’ voted yes to joining Indonesia as one of it province.

The country Papua New Guinea (PNG) was then separated from West Papua. PNG was a former colony of Australia.

Both countries have black people, while Indonesia has Asian people.
