Frantz Fanon
Frantz Fanon was a psychiatrist and philosopher from Martinique who supported the Algerian
liberation movement. He is known for his writings on colonial violence and the psychological
impact of oppression. His book The Wretched of the Earth became a key text for anti-colonial
movements. He died in 1961 at the age of 36.
