John Mbiti
John Mbiti was a Kenyan philosopher and theologian who helped explain African religions
and worldviews to wider audiences. His writings challenged Western assumptions and argued
for the value of African spirituality. He promoted mental decolonisation and the importance
of indigenous knowledge systems. Mbiti worked across Africa and Europe as a scholar.
