Thabo Mbeki
Thabo Mbeki succeeded Nelson Mandela as President of South Africa and promoted the
African Renaissance. His policies focused on economic growth, diplomacy, and continental
leadership. He was also a supporter of ubuntu as a guiding principle. His presidency ended
amid internal party struggles.
