W. E. B. Du Bois
W. E. B. Du Bois was an African-American scholar and activist who supported African
independence and unity. He co-founded the Pan-African Congresses and moved to Ghana in
his later years. His writings on race and colonialism had wide influence. Du Bois helped
frame the intellectual foundation of decolonisation.
