Marcus Garvey
Marcus Garvey was a Jamaican-born Pan-Africanist who advocated for Black pride and
unity. Through the Universal Negro Improvement Association, he encouraged Africans in the
diaspora to reconnect with their roots. His message influenced independence leaders and
movements across Africa. Though he never visited the continent, his legacy is deeply felt.
