Stanlake Samkange was a Zimbabwean academic, novelist, and politician who advanced the philosophy of ubuntu in political thought. He argued for ethical leadership based on African values. His novel On Trial for My Country re-examined colonial narratives. He contributed to nation-building debates during Zimbabwe’s transition to independence.
