Dixon Chibanda is a practising Medical Doctor and Professor of Psychiatry & Global Mental Health holds chairs at the University of Zimbabwe and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and directs the African Mental Health Research Initiative (AMARI). He is the founder of the Friendship Bench and one of Africa’s foremost voices on community mental health, task sharing, and culturally grounded practice.
